Fake Cinnamon Cookies to Decorate the Christmas tree

Ingredients for 5 dozen (depending on size) cookies
1 cup of ground cinnamon
¼ cup of applesauce
½ cup of white glue (Elmer)
Red satin ribbon 1/8 inch (3 mm)

Preparation
Put the cinnamon in a bowl.

Add applesauce and mix with a spatula, until the cinnamon absorbs the sauce.

Add the white glue and mix well.

With your hands, knead until it forms a ball with dough consistency.

Cover with plastic wrap and let rest for half an hour.

Divide the dough into quarters and with a rolling pin, spread the dough as if you were making cookies.

With cookie cutters of your favorite shapes, cut the ornaments.

With a straw make holes to hang the ornaments.

Put the figurines on a cookie sheet. Repeat the procedure until you finish with all the dough.

Put the trays in the oven to 200F and bake for 2 hours.

Put the ornaments on a cooling rack.

Pass the ribbon through the holes.
